Cycle track from lighthouse to lighthouse

You can cycle and enjoy the whole of Öland, from Långe Jan in the south to Långe Erik in the north, via Ölandsleden (the Öland route) and Sverigeleden (the Sweden route). From the Tourist Office, Meeting place Öland at the bridge abutment, the Öland route starts on a cycle track into Färjestaden, after approx. 2 km you leave Färjestaden and enter the open countryside. Continue on the asphalt-covered, car-free cycle route which runs parallel to the road 943 and ends 500 m north of the descent to Mörbylånga Center where the Öland route continues south, but now on an asphalt-covered road (also used by cars). Ekoparkcykelleden

(Ecopark cycle route) on northern Öland. It is 40 km long (approx.) and is signposted in Bödaskogen which forms a part of the Sveaskog's Ecopark. When you come from the south, the natural starting point is Skäftekärr, where they was an Iron-Age village once upon a time. Now what remains is a grave field, 22 house foundations and a reconstructed dwelling from that time. A beautiful park surrounds the large main building which dates back to the 19th century.
